BACON-CHEESE PUFFS

2 cups biscuit mix
5 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
12 cubes Cheddar cheese, from 6 oz. pkg.

Combine biscuit mix and crumbled bacon in a medium-size bowl; add milk and egg. Stir well. Batter will be slightly lumpy. Spoon into 12 greased medium-size muffin-pan cups. Make a hollow in each with a spoon. Press a cheese cube deep into hollow. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes or until golden. Serve hot.
