1 box confectioners sugar (1 lb)
3 tbsp butter, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp peppermint extract (up to 3 tsp)
1/4 cup evaporated milk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 oz)
2 tbsp shortening

In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients. Add milk and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls and place on a waxed paper lined baking sheet. Flatten with a glass to 1/4 inch; cover and freeze for 30 minutes.

In a double boiler or microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and shortening. Dip patties; place on waxed paper to harden. Yield: about 5 dozen
