COLBY HASH BROWNS

1 cup milk
1/2 cup beef broth
2 tbsp butter, melted, divided
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Dash garlic powder
1 (30 oz) pkg frozen country-style shredded hash brown potatoes
2 cups shredded Colby cheese

Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl, combine first milk, broth, 1 tbsp butter, and seasonings. Stir in hash browns. Heat remaining butter in a skilled and add hash brown mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat until potatoes are heated through. Stir in cheese. Transfer to a greased 2-quart baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350, for 40-45 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Serves 6
