SHRIMP AND SCALLOP SCAMPI OVER LINGUINI

2 lbs fresh shrimp, cooked, peeled and deveined
1 1/2 lbs small bay scallops
2 lbs linguini, cooked al dente, drained
8 tbsp butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp chopped parsley and crushed red pepper
Grated parmesan or Romano cheese

While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a saucepan. Add onion, saute for 3 minutes. Add garlic, parsley, and crushed red pepper; stir and add scallops, stirring for 2 minutes or until scallops are done. Stir in shrimp to warm up. Serve over pasta and sprinkle with cheese.
