WALNUT CRUNCH BREAD

2 cup flour
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup oleo
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 eggs
3/4 cup eggnog
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Place 1/2 cup of crumbly mixture aside.
Add to it the spices and nuts, mixing a little. To remaining dry ingredients, add eggs, eggnog and vanilla. Stir until well blended. Pour 1/3 of batter into a greased and floured loaf pan. Sprinkle with 1/3 nut mixture. Repeat twice.
Bake at 350, for 60 to 65 minutes or until done. Let cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove and continue to cool on rack. Wrap tightly and store for at least 24 hours before slicing.
