SAUERKRAUT CASSEROLE

1 lb mild Italian sausage links, cut into 1 inch sliced
1 large onion, chopped
2 apples, peeled and quartered
1 (27 oz) can sauerkraut, undrained
1 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp caraway seed

In a skillet, cook onion and sausage until sausage is brown and onion is tender; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Transfer to a 2 1/2 quart baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
