2 lbs beef round roast
2/3 (16 oz) bottle Italian salad dressing
1 tsp salt
1 can Italian tomatoes with juice
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 1/2 cups red wine
1 bay leaf
1 tsp oregano
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup water

Marinade meat in dressing at room temperature for 2 hours or in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Pour off marinade but reserve it.

In a Dutch oven, lightly brown meat on all sides. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover with foil and roast at 375 for about 1 hour. Add next 5 ingredients and return to oven. Cook about 40 minutes, basting occasionally with marinade until meat is tender. Strain pan juices into a saucepan and add soy sauce and cornstarch mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring until thickened. Serve sauce with meat.
