1 (9 inch) pie crust, prebake for 8 minutes
1 pie crust for topping
Extra pie dough for leaves
Filling
5 1/2 cups Granny Smith apples
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Mix together and let set for awhile.

Praline mixture
1/3 cup light brown sugar
2 tbsp butter, do not substitute
1/3 cup ground pecans

Mix together and set aside.

Pie: Mix apples and place half in a pie crust. Add 1/2 praline mixture over top. Repeat layers. Cover with top crust. Put leaves around the edge of the crust. Bake at 400 for 30-35 minutes.
