PASTA BEEF ITALIANO

1 lb boneless top round steak, cut into chunks
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 tsp roasted garlic
1 tsp Italian seasonings
1 (13.75 oz) can beef broth
1 (14.5 oz) can Italian-seasoned style chopped tomatoes, undrained
1/4 cup red wine
1 1/2 cups uncooked penne rigate paste
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
In a Dutch oven, saute the mushrooms, onion and garlic in 1/2 cup beef broth. Add meat chunks and continue to cook until completely browned. Stir in seasonings, remaining broth, tomatoes and wine. Bring to a boil and stir; about 5-10 minutes. Add pasta and allow to simmer 15 additional minutes; stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with cheese, cover until cheese melts and serve.
