PORK BLADE STEAK CASSEROLE

Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup thinly sliced onions
1 (24 oz) can sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
2 tbsp packed brown sugar
4 potatoes, cut in half
1/2 cup water
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Preheat oven to 325. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Brown in a Dutch oven; remove steaks. Add onions, cook until tender. Add kraut and brown sugar. Blend; press potatoes into kraut. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Arrange steaks on top. Blend water with soup. Pour over steaks. Cover and bake for 1 hour.
