CHOCOLATE SAUCE BROWNIES

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 (16 oz) can chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract 1 cup plus 1 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup chopped pecans or nuts

Frosting
1 cup sugar
6 tbsp milk and softened butter
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after addition. Stir in chocolate sauce and vanilla extract. Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour into a greased jelly-roll pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

Frosting: combine sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil for 1 minutes. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips; stir for 5 minutes or until smooth. Spread over brownies.
