RED WINE AND MUSTARD MARINADE

Category: Sauces, Marinades, Spices, Glazes and Rubs

2 1/2 cups dry red wine
2 cups olive oil
1/2 cup port
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar and Dijon mustard
2 onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves, crumbled
Several sprigs parsley
2 tbsp brown sugar
Several black peppercorns

Combine ingredients in a bowl. Marinade meat for several hours or overnight. Brush meat occasionally with marinade while grilling. Make enough for 20 medium-size pieces of meat.

NOTE: I use in portions and store in the refrigerator. Good for red meat.
