BROCCOLI CRAB CASSEROLE

8 spears broccoli, cooked
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
10 tbsp butter
1/4 cup onion, minced
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp curry powder
3/4 tsp salt
2 cups milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sherry
12 oz crab meat, flaked
1 cup soft bread crumbs
Place broccoli in a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Saute onion in 6 tbsp butter until soft. Stir in flour, curry and salt. Cook about 1 minute. Add milk gradually. Cook over low heat until thick; stirring constantly. Blend in lemon juice and sherry. Add crab meat. Pour mixture over broccoli. Melt remaining 4 tbsp butter and combine with bread crumbs. Sprinkle over the casserole and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
