CREAMY POTATO CASSEROLE

3 cups hot mashed potatoes, prepared with milk and butter
1 cup sour cream
2-4 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 cups French fried onions
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

In a bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Mix well. Spoon half into a greased 1 quart baking dish, layer with half the onions and cheese. Repeat layers. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serves 4
