SAUSAGE HASH BROWN CASSEROLE

2 lbs (1 lb each) hot and mild sausages
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 (8 oz) container French onion dip
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 (30 oz) bag shredded frozen hash browns, thawed
6 eggs, beaten (optional)
Shredded cheese for top

Brown and drain sausage. In a large mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients except hash browns, and mix well. Spread half mixture on bottom of a greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Repeat layering, ending with a sausage layer. Sprinkle additional cheese on top. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
