PORK CHOPS AND SAUERKRAUT

3 cups sauerkraut, well drained
2 cups applesauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 lb sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp ground mustard, dried oregano, salt and pepper
6 (1 inch thick) pork chops
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 tsp paprika

In a bowl, combine first 10 ingredients and spoon into an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan. In a large skillet, brown chops in oil; drain. Place over sauerkraut mixture. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender and juices run clear. Serves 6
