FIESTA BEANS

6 slices bacon
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 lb boiled ham, slivered
1/2 cup ketchup
2 (16 oz) cans baked beans
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 350. In a large heavy skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain the bacon well, then crumble. Drain all but 2 tbsp of the bacon grease from the skillet. Add the green pepper and onion and saute gently for 5 minutes. Add the ham and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more.

In an 8 inch by 12 inch baking dish, combine all the ingredients. Mix well. Bake for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Serve hot. Serves 4 6
