HAWAIIAN SPARERIBS

4 to 5 lbs pork spareribs
Boiling, salted water to cover
1 cup pineapple juice
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp curry powder

Parboil spareribs in water for about 20 minutes. Make a marinade with the remaining ingredients. Drain water from spareribs, pour on marinade, and refrigerate for 1 to 6 hours, turning to recoat once or twice. Barbecue or broil the spare ribs 4 to 6 inches from the heat, for a total of about 30 minutes. Or you can bake the spareribs at 42, turning once, for a total of 45 minutes. Serves 6
