TEQUILA CHICKEN WINGS

4 lbs chicken wings, about 20 wings
For marinade:
1/4 cup tequila
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
4 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper and salt
1/2 tbsp freshly ground pepper
Cooking oil for frying
Prepare wings by cutting into two pieces; save wing tips for soup. Combine all marinade ingredients; add wings to marinate. Refrigerate overnight. Cook over a medium-hot grill for about 15 to 20 minutes, basting occasionally with marinade. (Note: Do not reserve marinade in which raw chicken has been sitting; make extra for drizzling if desired.) Serve with your favorite salsa or cheese dip.
