GERMAN CHOCOLATE CHEWY BARS

1 pkg German chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup coconut and softened butter
1 egg
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 can coconut pecan or coconut almond frosting
2 cups rice krispies
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl, combine first 4 ingredients; blend well. Press in bottom of a jelly-roll pan or a 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 15-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool

In a saucepan, heat chocolate chips, marshmallow and frosting over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted. Stir in cereal; spread over cooled based. Sprinkle with nuts; press lightly. Refrigerate 1 hour; cut into bars.
