1 (9 inch) refrigerated pie crust

Filling
2 pinches kosher salt
7 tbsp sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened

Topping
1 (21 oz) can Dark Sweet Cherry Pie filling

Streusel
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar and sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
Pinch salt
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Place the crust into a pie plate. Place in the freezer while preparing the filling.

Filling: Add cream cheese to remainder of filling ingredients, folding in, trying no to make air bubbles. Pour filling into the crust. Spread cherries over cream cheese filling, it will not cover the entire area.

Streusel. Mix ingredients in a separate bowl. Incorporate butter well, but do not handle or mix. Squeeze some of the streusel together, and keep some loose. Sprinkle all the streusel over the top of the pie, then place the pie in the oven and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. (If top begins to brown to much, place a foil top loose over the fie and finish baking.) Let pie cool for one hour on center. Then place pie into refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight.
