DOUBLE FUDGE BROWNIES

1 1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 eggs
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup nuts (optional)
2/3 cup butter
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
Chocolate Satin Frosting
2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
1 tbsp milk
1/8 tsp salt
2 envelopes choco bake
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
Preheat oven to 325. In small saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups sugar, 2/3 cup butter and 1/4 cup water; bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and 2 tsp vanilla extract. Stir just until chocolate melts. Transfer chocolate mixture to large bowl. Beat in 4 eggs one at a time.
In small bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Gradually add flour mixture to chocolate batter. Blend in 1 cup chopped nuts. Spread into greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake for 50 minutes. Cool. Frost with chocolate satin frosting. In bowl, combine confectioners sugar, butter, milk, vanilla and salt; beat until creamy. Beat in egg, blend in choco bake. Mix well and frost. Cut brownies in 1 inch squares.
