SOUTHWESTERN BURGERS

1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp hickory liquid smoke
1/4 cup crushed butter flavored crackers
4 1/2 tsp chili powder
3 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
2 tbsp ground beef
1/2 lb pork sausage
8 slices pepper jack cheese
Hamburger buns and condiments

In a bowl, combine first 8 ingredients. Crumble meats over mixture and mix well. Shape into 8 patties. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side. Top with cheese. Grill for 1 minute longer or until cheese melts. Grill bunts, cut side down, 1-2 minutes or until toasted. Serve with desired condiments.
