Shelly's Recipe

COMPANY BEEF CASSEROLE*

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tbsp butter
1 (16 oz) can tomato sauce
1 tsp sugar
8 oz noodles, cooked according to package directions
1 cup cottage cheese
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped green onions and green bell peppers
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Brown beef and onions in butter; drain fat. Stir in sauce and sugar, set aside.

Combine cheese, sour cream, vegetables and seasonings; set aside.

Butter a 3 quart casserole dish; pour in half the meat mixture, layer with half the noodles. Cover with all the cheese mixture. Top with remaining noodles and pour melted butter over casserole; top with remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
