GREEN BEANS WITH BROWN BUTTER AND PECANS

2 lbs cooked green beans
1/2 cup butter
1 tbsp flour
2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup pecans

Brown butter in a skillet over medium high heat, being careful not to burn. Add flour and stir well making a paste. Gradually stir in stock, cook for 1 minute or let simmer on low heat stirring to make sure there are no lumps. Add beans and toss with the sauce and allow to heat through, 3-5 minutes. Arrange beans in warm bowl and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Serve immediately. Serves 6-8
