BEEF AND CHEESE CASSEROLE

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper and garlic powder
2 cans (small) tomato sauce
1 cup cottage cheese
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup chopped green pepper and green onions
1 (8 oz) pkg noodles, cooked and drained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet. Add seasonings and tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, combine next 5 ingredients. Set aside.

Place half the noodles in the bottom of a greased 3 quart casserole. Top with cheese mixture, then remaining noodles. Pour meat mixture over top and then top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until cheese melts.
