BAKED BEEF SHORT RIBS

4-6 meaty short ribs
1 beef bouillon cubes dissolved in 1/2 cup boiling water
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup red wine
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp parsley flakes and yellow mustard
1 tsp horseradish
1 large bay leaf, broken up
1/4 cup chopped yellow onion
Salt, to taste
Place ribs in a single layer in a baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Let stand several hour or all day in the refrigerator, turning occasionally.
When ready to cook, cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour; remove cover and turn ribs. Bake uncovered 30-45 minutes or until ribs are tender. Serves 4
