CHOCOLATE AND PRALINE CHEESECAKE

Crust
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup pecans, finely sliced
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup brown sugar
Cheesecake
1/2 cup pecans, finely sliced
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1 cup whipped cream
5 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted
Crust: Combine ingredients; mix well and press on the bottom of a springform pan. Refrigerate.
Cheesecake: Combine pecans, brown sugar and butter, mix well with a fork; set aside. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Mix in brown sugar.
In a saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Wait 5 minutes or until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Add warm gelatin to the creamed cheese. Add whipped cream slowly. Mix chocolate with 2 cups of the cheese mixture. Set 1/2 cup of mixture aside.
Put rest on crust. Sprinkle pecan mixture over first layer. Pour chocolate mixture over pecans. Add last 1/2 cup reserved cheese mixture in a decorative pattern. Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
