BOURBON MARINADE

1 cup bourbon
2 tbsp olive oil
2 clove garlic, minced
1 cup apple juice
1/4 cup soy sauce and honey or brown sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Mix ingredients in a bowl. Pour marinade in a resealable bag and add meat. Marinade in the refrigerator at leas 6 hour and up to overnight.
This makes enough marinade for 2 cut up chickens or 1 (13 lb) turkey.
NOTES: Make sure to turn the meat often. Great marinade and basting sauce for poultry and pork. The longer the meat is marinated, but better. Use half the marinade for the meat and the other half for a dipping sauce when the meat is done.
When grilling, always cook meat over indirect coals. Bank the heat on one side of the grill and cook on the other side. Brush meat frequently with marinade.
