Cake
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup milk, scalded and cooled
2 tbsp butter

Topping
6 tbsp butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk or heavy cream
9 heaping tbsp brown sugar
1 can flaked coconut

Preheat oven to 350. Beat eggs in a bowl and add the sugar and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients one by one and continue to mix. Pour into a greased 13x9 inch baking pan and bake for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, melt the butter for the topping. Add the milk and sugar and blend. Fold in the coconut.

Remove the cake from the oven and spread the topping. Return to the oven and cook an additional 3-5 minutes.
