BEER AND BRATS

Marinade
12 oz can beer
1 large onion, cut into thick slices
2 tbsp brown sugar and soy sauce
1 tbsp prepared mustard
1 tsp chili powder
2 clove garlic, minced
Hot pepper sauce, to taste
6-12 uncooked brats, poked with a fork
3 large onions, cut into thick slices, keep intact
Simmer ingredients except brats. Allow to cool. Place marinade in a resealable bag and add the brats. Marinade in the refrigerator overnight.
Prepare grill. Remove brats from beer mixture, discarding beer mixture. Grill brats and onion slices, on an oiled rack set to 5 inch over glowing coals, turning onions once, until brats are cook through and golden brown and onions are cook through, about 5 minutes. Serve brats and onions on favorite bone.
