WEST COAST SHORT RIBS

3 lbs beef short ribs
1/2 cup water and soy sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice and salad oil
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce and pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed

Combine ingredients except ribs and pour over the ribs in a resealable bag. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 425. Place the ribs on a rack in a shallow baking pan and roast in over for 30 minutes, reserving marinade for basting. Reduce the oven to 350 and bake, uncovered, for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until tender, basting occasionally.
