SPICY CRAB BALL

1/2 small sweet onion, chopped
1 tsp olive oil
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 (6 oz) can jumbo lump crabmeat, rinsed and drained
2 tbsp adobo sauce from canned chipotles
10 smoked almonds, finely chopped

Saute onion in oil in a skillet until tender. Stir together onions and next 3 ingredients. Cover and chill 2 hours. Shape mixture into a ball; roll top in almonds. Chill until ready to serve. Serve with fresh vegetables or crackers.
