1/3 cup cocoa
1 pkg two-step angel food cake mix
1 large container whipped topping, thawed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup strawberry puree (recipe follows)
Strawberries

Move oven rack to low position. Sift cocoa over contents of cake flour packet; stir to blend. Proceed with cake mix directions; bake and cool as directed for a 10 inch tube pan. Carefully run a knife along side of pan to loosen cake; remove from pan. Using serrated knife, slice cake horizontally into four layers.

To whipped topping, stir in vanilla extract and strawberry puree. Place bottom cake layer on serving plate and spread one-fourth of topping. Continue layering cake and topping. Garnish with strawberries. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Slice cake with a serrated knife, cut with gentle swing motion. Cover; refrigerate leftover cake.

Puree: Mash 2 cups sliced strawberries in food processor. Cover; blend until smooth.
