CHOCOLATE CHIP BROWNIE TORTE

2/3 cup butter
12 oz pkg mini chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Chocolate Chips Cream Frosting
2 cup chilled whipping cream
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup chocolate chips bits
Preheat oven to 350. Line a jelly-roll pan with waxed paper; grease. Heat butter and 1 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips in a saucepan until chocolate is melted. Stir in remaining ingredients until melted. Spread evenly in pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes; invert on board. Remove waxed paper; cool cake completely.
Cut cake into 4 equal pieces crosswise. Place one piece on a serving plate; spread about 3/4 cup frost over top. Repeat 2 times. Frost sides and top with remaining frosting. Garnish with remaining chocolate chips. Chill at least 1 hour.
Frosting: Beat first 3 ingredients in a chilled bowl until stiff. Stir in chips.
