CHERRY ANGEL TRIFLE II

1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz) container whipped topping
5 cups cubed angel food cake
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 (21 oz) can cherry, blueberry or raspberry pie filling
In a medium bowl, combine sugar and cream cheese and beat until well blended. Reserve 1/2 cup whipped topping and fold in remaining topping, cake cubes and pecans into cream cheese mixture. Spoon mixture into a glass bowl. Top with pie filling. Garnish with reserved whipping. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
