APRICOT SPICE BARS WITH LEMON GLAZE

1/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
3 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (6 oz) pkg dried apricots, finely chopped
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp cinnamon and salt
Lemon Glaze
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350. Cream together first 3 ingredients. Beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture and stir well. Fold in apricots and nuts. Spread in a greased jelly-roll pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Brush with lemon glaze. Cut into squares.
Glaze: Mix sugar and lemon juice to make a glaze.
