NUTTY OATMEAL PANCAKES

2 cups buttermilk
1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans or toasted hazelnuts

Mix buttermilk and oats in bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes. Whisk in eggs. Mix together dry ingredients and stir in nuts. Drop batter onto hot skillet and cook about 2 minutes per side. Serve with syrup. Makes about 12 pancakes.
