4 slices challah egg bread
3 eggs
3/4 cup whipping cream
Dash cinnamon and nutmeg

Filling
3 tbsp cream cheese
1 tbsp apricot jam
1 tsp chopped almonds, toasted
1 drop almond extract

Topping
Powder sugar
Sliced almonds

Apricot syrup
1 (12 oz) jar apricot preserves
1/2 cup orange juice

Whisk eggs, spices and whipping cream together. Stir cream cheese, jam, almond extract and almonds for stuffing. Set aside. Dip bread slices into egg mixture. Fry on griddle until golden brown.

Prepare like a sandwich, placing the filling ingredients between 2 slices of bread. Keep warm in oven until ready to serve. Sift a light sprinkle of powdered sugar over French toast and top with sliced almonds. Serve with apricot syrup that is prepared by mixing ingredients together in a saucepan until preserves dissolve.
