APPLE CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST

1 can apple pie slices
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup maple syrup
10-12 slices French bread, 1 inch thick
3 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla

Spray a 13x9 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Spread pie slices in bottom of pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Pour syrup over apples, spread if necessary to coat evenly. Arrange bread slices in one layer over top of apples.

Blend eggs, milk and vanilla together; pour carefully over bread. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate overnight.

Heat oven to 375. Remove plastic wrap from pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until bread is golden and apple mixture is set. Cool in pan 5 minutes and invert onto serving platter. Serve warm.
