SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder and baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Grease well and flour a tube pan. Preheat oven to 350. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together and set aside.

In a separate bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar together until light and fluffy. Add 2 eggs and beat until blended. Add sour cream in thirds, alternating with flour mixture. Add vanilla and mix until just blended. In another bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts in a small bowl.

Pour half the batter into tube pan and sprinkle with nut mixture. Repeat with the remaining batter and nut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes until cake taster come out clean in the middle. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing. Cool a bit longer before slicing.
