CHOCOLATE FUDGE MUFFINS

3/4 cup boiling water
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup shortening, melted
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
2/3 cups mini chocolate chips
2/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 400. Grease a muffin tin. Combine first three ingredients over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

Sift dry ingredients and in the remaining ingredients except mini chips, along with the chocolate mixture just until blended. Pour into muffin tin and sprinkle with mini chips. Bake approximately 20 minutes.
