CREAMY GARLIC ANGEL HAIR PASTA

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp salt and pepper
1 (8 oz) pkg angel hair pasta, cooked al dente
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 cup butter
1 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
2/3 cup boiling water

In a small mixing bowl, beat first 2 ingredients together and stir in the seasonings. Set aside.

After draining the pasta, return to cooking pot. Cook garlic slowing in the second 1/2 cup butter for about 2 minutes. Add to the cooked pasta and toss together with 2 forks over low heat until very hot. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup cheese, toss again. Turn mixture out onto a serving plate and keep hot. Add boiling water to the cream cheese mixture and blend well. Pour over pasta and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Serve immediately. Serves 4
