COMPANY BRUSSELS SPROUTS

4 bacon strips, diced
1 dozen Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium carrot, thinly sliced
10 stuffed olives, sliced
1/3 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
2 tbsp snipped fresh parsley
1 tsp olive or vegetable oil
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Pinch salt
In a skillet, fry bacon just until cooked. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings. Add remaining ingredients; cook and stir over medium-high heat for 10-15 minutes or until Brussels sprouts are crisp-tender. Serves 4
