ITALIAN SAUSAGE CROSTINI

1 lb mild Italian sausage
1 (8 oz) loaf French bread, cut into 24 slices
2 tbsp olive oil
1 (5 oz) pkg garlic herb cream cheese
6 Italian plum tomatoes, sliced thin
1 1/2 cups shredded provolone cheese
1/3 cup chopped fresh basil
Remove sausage from casing and brown in skillet, drain and reserve. Place bread on a baking sheet and lightly brush both sides with oil. Place under broiler for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Spread one side of bread with cream cheese and top with tomato slices, sausage and provolone. Broil until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with basil.
