2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tsp butter, melted
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp celery seeds
1 tbsp prepared mustard
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes of hot sauce
1/2 tsp salt
2 (2-1/2 to 3-lb) broiler-fryers, quartered

Saute garlic in melted butter in a small saucepan until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except chicken; bring to a boil. Remove barbecue sauce from heat, and set aside.

Grill chicken, skin side up, over medium coals 15 minutes. Baste with reserved barbecue sauce. Grill an additional 40 minutes or until done. Baste every 10 minutes with remaining sauce.
