CAJUN CREAM TART

Dough
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
4 tbsp flour
3/4 cup buttermilk
Cream filling
1 cup cream
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup Southern Comfort
3 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
Dough: Mix sugar and butter until creamy; add eggs. Add 1 cup flour at a time, along with milk. Mix to a soft dough and chill for 1 hour (VERY IMPORTANT).
Preheat oven to 350. Sprinkle dough with the 4 tsp flour and roll to fit a 9 inch pie plate. Make cut-out cookies with remaining dough to decorate pie. Bake for 45 minutes. Place another pan on top of dough to weight it down while baking.
Filling: Dissolve cornstarch with Southern Comfort. Then mix cream, and next 3 ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add Southern Comfort mixture and simmer to thicken. Fill tart shell with mixture and decorate with cut-outs and dust with powdered sugar.
