2 tbsp Cornmeal
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 Cup chopped onions
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 (14-oz) jar pizza sauce
3 eggs
1 (15-oz) ricotta cheese
3 cups shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1 tbsp dried basil and oregano
2 cans refrigerated wheat home style loaf
3/4 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
4 tsp. fennel seed
Preheat oven to 375. grease 15x10x1 inch baking pan, sprinkle evenly with cornmeal. Brown hamburger, drain. add onions, garlic and fennel seed: cook till onions are tender. add pizza sauce; mix well. cook till heated thoroughly.
Beat eggs in a large bowl. add ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, green onions, oregano, basil mix well. Unroll one can of dough, cut dough in half crossways. slightly overlap longer edge; press firmly to seal/ roll dough to form a 17x12 inch rectangle. place over cornmeal in pan. press dough over bottom and up sides, over lapping sides of pan slightly.
Spoon beef filling evenly over dough. to with ricotta mix. sprinkle with remaining 2 cups of mozzarella and 3/4 cup fresh parmesan. Unroll #2 can of dough cut in half crossways. slightly over lap longer edge. press to seal. cut 2 rows of slits in top of crust. Bake at 3758 for 35 min. in bowl mix honey and water. during last 10min. of baking brush honey mix over crust and sprinkle with graded parmesan. let stand for 10minites. Servings 12
