1/2 package Dumpling Egg Noodles -- (8 oz) uncooked
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped red or green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cans cream of mushroom soup -- (10 3/4 oz. each)
1 10 ounce package frozen peas and carrots
1 1/2 cups milk
8 ounces sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese -- (4 oz.)
1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained, if desired

Cook noodles according to package directions. In Dutch oven, over medium
heat, brown beef; pour off fat. Add red pepper and onion; cook and stir
until tender. Stir in noodles and remaining ingredients except cheese.

Cook and stir until heated through; top with cheese. Serve immediately.
