BLACK LABEL FUDGE CAKE

1 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups unsifted flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
4 tbsp cocoa, divided
3/4 cup milk
1 1/4 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup whiskey
1/3 cup cold water
Whipped cream or ice cream
Preheat oven to 325. Place butter in an 8 inch baking pan; melt in oven. Remove from oven; set aside. In a medium bowl, combine dry ingredients. Blend in milk and vanilla. Stir in nuts. Spread into pan with melted butter. Evenly sprinkle batter with brown sugar, mixed with remaining 2 tbsp cocoa. Pour whiskey and cold water evenly over top of cake. Bake 20-25 minutes or until cake is firm with a fudge sauce on top. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
